With over 20 years of experience in Taekwondo, I first stepped onto the mat with my teenage son as a way to encourage him to embrace physical activity. His challenge, "I'll do it if you do, Dad," sparked a journey that not only helped him grow but also allowed me to fulfill a long-time childhood dream. Though martial arts had always intrigued me, I never had the opportunity to pursue them until then.

Together, my son and I achieved black belts, a milestone that marked the beginning of a deeper commitment to the art. After my son enlisted in the Army, I continued to pursue Taekwondo, while two of my other children also joined me on this path. My passion for martial arts has grown through years of training, competing in numerous events, and earning several competition titles at both the State and District levels. I’ve further honed my skills through instructor training programs and seminars at Nationals and World events, constantly seeking to elevate my understanding and expertise.

Personally, I am semi-retired after a successful career in the Business Analytics field. I am married and blessed with four children who are now scattered across the country. Outside of Taekwondo, I am a passionate photographer, with a love for traveling and capturing the beauty of national and state parks across the U.S.

4th Degree Black Belt/Instructor Trainee

Ms. Doran is a Texas Wesleyan graduate who received her BS in Criminal Justice. She is a fourth degree black belt. In 2023, she was nominated for Black Belt of the Year. In her spare time, she plays drums and piano.
